Weezer ride a wave of excitement for their upcoming gig at the Minnesota State Fair, making it to No.1 for the first time! We announced this week that the Struts are opening the Music-on-a-Stick show. Their band name lends itself well to the task –
indeed one of their first big breaks was opening for the Stones in Paris in 2014!

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to win tickets to Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins at the State Theatre on Tuesday, Sept. 6!

Bon Iver crashed in at No.3 after performing their entire new album at the amazing Eaux Claires Music and Art Festival. 22, A Million will be released Sept. 30, and they're carrying the spirit of Eaux Claires to Berlin in October.

Haley Bonar moves up again this week. The Local Current Blog featured a brand new video on Friday Five last week for "I Can Change," another song off Impossible Dream.

Glass Animals are the highest movers this week and seem poised to be inducted to the Hall of Fame. They gave a really nice interview to Paste this week, admitting that some of the songs on How To Be A Human Being are culled from stories told to them by fans and taxi drivers!

Green Day are new this week at No.11 with the first song released from their forthcoming Revolution Radio, out Oct. 7, marking the 30th anniversary of the band who were inducted to the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame last year.

Car Seat Headrest bounced back to No.12 after a week's hiatus, just in time for Colbert tomorrow night, the biggest TV appearance of their career so far. They'll share the stage with Tim Kaine, another big name from their home state of Virginia, where frontman Will's dad is a Public Information Officer!

Regina Spektor is new on the chart at No.16 with the first song released from her new Remember Us to Life album which drops Sept. 30. She starts her world tour in L.A. at the El Rey for two nights that weekend. No Twin Cities plans ... yet!

Joseph slipped a few places this week, but music director David Safar dives deeper into this new record as The Current's Album of the Week, comes out this Friday and was produced by Mike Mogis in Omaha.

Hope you can come visit us at the corner of Judson and Nelson when you visit the Minnesota State Fair! I'll be on-air live from 3 to 7 p.m. every weekday with a special musical guest at 4:30 p.m.
