Three inductions to the Hall Of Fame this week: the fifth for Bon Iver pushing them onto the top 20 of all-time list; third time for the Head and the Heart which qualifies them for No.44 of all-time; and Regina Spektor for the second time.

Angel Olsen skates to No.1 as rave reviews pour in for sold out shows across the world. This week, Berlin, Brussels, London and Paris, and next month, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth!

Lizzo crashes in as the highest new entry with a track from her new Atlantic Records EP Coconut Oil. Her string of 13 dates through December may well sell out, too, especially
Dec. 10 at First Avenue.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bounce back to No.10. Drummer Chad Smith played a charity gig in Malibu last weekend with what he described on Instagram as a "new boy band" featuring Chris Martin of Coldplay, Beck and Jakob Dylan covering the Beach Boys, Pink Floyd and ... Bruce Springsteen!

Minnesota's own Hippo Campus surge back with a new single which seems to be making its mark especially and ironically on college campuses. The lyrics to "Boyish" describe the aftermath of divorce as they explain to Fresno State college newspaper.

Although he studied film scoring at Berklee and served as a sideman violinist for musicians such as Regina Spektor and Sondre Lerche and of Montreal, Kaoru Ishibashi has now firmly taken the spotlight with his own Kishi Bashi project on the new Sonderlust album. He's new at No.17.

Car Seat Headrest creep into the basement (Happy Halloween!) after bubbling under for weeks. It's almost time to start putting your year end best of lists together, and their album will be on mine. Their session will stand out as a fave of the year, too, partly because of how well they played and what song they covered.

King of Leon went to No.1 in the U.K. last week and up ten places on our chart. Their new album is like "listening to the soundtrack of a movie about four guys in a band" says The Current's music director in his Album of the Week review.

Drive-By Truckers, another southern rock band, slip down a few places this week, but did a really nice Tiny Desk Concert for NPR.
