HAIM went to the top after only two weeks on the chart, the new album drops July 7th. They made it to #10 on Salon's list of the 25 Hottest Albums of the Summer too. It's a busy season, including several more of our faves like War On Drugs and Arcade Fire. AND a few for you Anglophiles, like Cherry Red's Manchester box set and OMD's new one!

Blondie are the biggest upward movers this week, buoyed perhaps from their interview on Teenage Kicks last weekend, where Ms. Harry said, "Better to be called an icon than a relic!"

Chastity Brown and Brother Ali are both inducted to the Chart Hall of Fame for the first time! Chastity is going on a short tour this month of the UK supporting Ani DiFranco on some big gigs and Ali is part of the large Rhymesayers contingent who will be part of the enormous Summerfest in Milwaukee July 7th.

The War On Drugs are back after a weeks hiatus, highest re-entry at #8. They play The Palace Oct 18th and after appearing on The Late Show last week they released a video for the song.

Bon Iver climb three places ahead of their big week at the Eaux Claires Festival this weekend. Justin has also planned a collaboration with TU Dance next April at The Palace.

Courtney Barnett is back!! The brand new single for her own label is new at #16. We'd heard rumors that Kurt Vile had been recording with her, in her home studio in Australia, now we learn that it turned into a full album and they'll tour behind it this Fall. Both former Rock The Garden artists, they included a show at The Palace Theater on October 25th.

Another young artist from down under, but this time New Zealand, Lorde is new at #19.Her new sophomore album 'Melodrama' comes out this Friday.

Foo Fighters are on their way to the UK to play the huge Glastonbury Festival next weekend. Making their debut on our chart they are also lined up to make a big debut in Washington DC. No, Dave Grohl is not running for President...yet... but is the first act to play at a new venue there.
