When Jeffrey Foucault and his band are finishing tuning their instruments, he turns around to them and says, "Everybody home?" It's just a simple little question, but in my mind it really paints a picture of the relationship he has with his band and his music.

Foucault's latest album is Blood Brothers and he recorded it with a team of friends and musicians he trusts, respects and feels at home with, including long-time collaborator Billy Conway on drums, bassist Jeremy Moses Curtis and pedal steel player Eric Heywood. Most of the same folk worked together on his last album, Salt As Wolves, and he even made use of his favorite recording home — Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minn. — once again, and he got some expert advice from music sage Bo Ramsey.

Blood Brothers is officially released Friday, June 22, and we were lucky enough to get Jeffrey and the full band, with special guests Dusty Heart (Molly Dean and Barbara Jean) to stop in the Radio Heartland studio for an afternoon of music.
