Toki Wright has taken a new position in Boston. His last episode of Wright About Now on the radio will air on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 10 p.m. Wright will continue to be part of The Current, contributing to New Hot on Monday nights, the next iteration of our Wednesday night hip hop show, and filing reports on our digital platforms too.

Dear Listeners,

It has been a great ride so far on The Current with Wright About Now. Starting in July I'm relocating to Boston to become the Assistant Chair of Professional Music at Berklee. In this prestigious position, I'll be working with up and coming musicians across disciplines, developing a record label, teaching, and creating many events with international artists and industry representatives. It's an honor to be at an institution that has graduated Quincy Jones, Esperanza Spalding, Stephen Tyler and more (even Eric Andre and Psy!). I'll also be finishing my new album with Big Cats and writing a book. Most importantly, I'll be welcoming my new baby girl into the world with my new wife Brittany Wright (Lynch) also known as DJ Miss Brit.

This move isn't about disconnecting from Minnesota but instead building platforms for artists and professionals from across the World to network and develop. I look forward to developing new forward-thinking ideas with The Current as we progress further into the digital age.
