Ireland recently won the silver medal in the Women's World Cup of field hockey, and it felt like Christmas in August. That, it seems, is why the team celebrated at a massive Dublin rally by leading a singalong to Mariah Carey's classic "All I Want for Christmas is You." A clip of the celebration caught the attention of Carey herself, who tweeted, "THAT IS A-MAZING!!!!!!!", adding some Santa and Irish flag emoji (and four butterflies) to accentuate the sentiment. Music Business Worldwide has crunched some numbers, and determined that each of the two biggest label groups, Sony and Universal, together now make over $1 million every hour from streaming. How much of that makes it back to artists? Unknown.

XXXTentacion killing suspects arrested

All four suspects in the June 18 killing of rapper XXXTentacion are now in custody, awaiting trial for first-degree murder and armed robbery. Three were previously apprehended, and the fourth suspect surrendered to police on Tuesday. After his death, news broke that XXXTentacion had just signed a $10 million record deal. (New York Times)

Wolf Alice get ready to wrap up an album cycle

Wolf Alice, one of Britain's hottest new bands, are getting ready to take a break. "We're definitely gonna say goodbye for a while and we need to have some kind of party," frontwoman Ellie Rowsell tells DIY about what the band will do after October, when they wrap up their tour behind last year's sophomore release Visions of a Life. Meanwhile, notes NME, they can wait around to see if they land this year's Mercury Prize on Sept. 20 — Visions of a Life is on the shortlist.

Mazzy Star announce first U.S. show in five years

Mazzy Star have confirmed their first American performance in five years. They'll play at the Tropicália music and taco festival in Long Beach, California this coming November. It's their first tour since the death of their drummer Keith Mitchell last year; they're supporting a new EP called Still. Last time they toured, the band were supporting their 2013 comeback album Seasons of Your Day. (Pitchfork)

What's in John Prine's bag?

The New York Times has talked to John Prine as part of its "Carry On" series highlighting what various celebrities can't travel without.

As it turns out, the legendary singer-songwriter has quite a travel kit. He tells the Times that he always travels with the latest Archie comic (he still subscribes as "Johnny Prine"), a toy motorcycle for good luck, five pairs of reading glasses, and emergency condiments.

"I take my own syrup, ketchup and mustard, just in case of emergencies, in my suitcase," he says. "Whatever I can steal from the hotels. It's usually Heinz ketchup and they give you a weird mustard. You don't get French's or anything; you get some sort of Dijon or some mustard. That's just for hot dogs. I don't use mustard for anything else."
