CHVRCHES have sold out both their upcoming shows at The Palace Theater, October 2 & 3. Read about whether they have sold out completely, by being a Scotish band who now reside in Brooklyn! The Guardian did a marvelously in-depth piece on them when the album came out in May.

Bad Bad Hats are inducted to the Hall of Fame for the third time as they head out on a long USA tour starting in Duluth Oct 6th at The Red Herring with Tiny Deaths opening the show.

Up to #10 this week, but not sure where Santigold goes from here, tour-wise. She's just been dropped from the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Tour, along with Nas, because of "production issues".

Jade Bird on the other hand, the highest new entry at #11, is on a massive tour which comes through The Fine Line Oct 6th. She did an awesome Micro Show for us earlier in the year.

'Mi Vida Local' comes out Oct 5th from Rhymesayers, Atmosphere's new one with the quiet, introspective track "Virgo", signaling that Slug has just celebrated his birthday, as he is a Virgo. The tour with Dem Atlas starts that day in Grand Rapids, although they did put on a well reviewed show at Riot Fest in Chicago last weekend.

New at #14 this week is Radiohead's Thom Yorke, his first take on making a soundtrack to a film, 'Suspiria,' a re-make of a 70's horror movie, which turned out to be a double album coming Oct 26th. Billboard had an extensive interview with him talking about the movie, touring and the #MeToo movement in music.

Coincidentally Devotchka's Nick Urata has spent the last five years writing music for movies which explains their hiatus. 'This Night Falls Forever' came our two weeks ago and the first track released from it slips into the basement. Their tour starts on the West Coast this week and will hit First Ave on Sunday October 7.

Submit your Chart Show ballot this week for a chance to The Current's Florence and The Machine giveaway at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN on October 20, 2018!
