I have a list of favorite Peter Mayer songs in my brain from the last twenty-some years. They always include something with mention of a planet or the solar system, or something deep and spiritual, or even something about watching a young child grow up. One of everyone's favorites is "Holy Now," which singer-songwriter Kathy Mattea recently covered on her Pretty Bird album.

Peter is out with a new record called Catching Rain. All the songs are Peter's. All the instruments were played by Peter. And it's got some great sing-along-able tunes and clap-able backbeats, just like your other favorite Peter Mayer albums. Peter stopped in our studio to play a few of the songs live and to talk about the thinking behind Catching Rain.
