This week, Mary Lucia talks about Danny Garcia's new documentary, STIV: No Compromise, No Regrets. The film follows the story of Stiv Bators, frontman of the punk-rock band the Dead Boys, and later, the proto-Goth outfit Lords of the New Church.
Although the story centers on New York's 1970s punk scene, the Dead Boys were from Ohio, lending this documentary a distinct Midwestern flavor. "And it's just very cool to see a documentary that's talking about this birth of punk rock in New York but with accents like some cashier at Cub Foods would be using," Mary says.
