The Posies were in town last night to play the Turf Club, but not before having a lovely meal with our own Brian Oake.

It's gotten us talking about our favorite power pop bands this morning. What is power pop? An aggressive form of pop rock that originated in the late 1960s that is based on catchy, melodic hooks and energetic moods. It sounds happy on the surface, but is often angsty and despairing at its heart.

So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what power pop songs do you want to hear?
