Each week, as Transmission starts each week on The Current, you hear the iconic bassline of Mr. Peter Hook the original bassist for both Joy Division and New Order. This Thursday, Jake Rudh sticks with Joy Division and all of their post-punk peers for 60 minutes straight of some of the most influential bands to come out fo the late '70s and early '80s. It's all about post-punk: bands like the Cure, Bauhaus, Talking Heads, Public Image Limited, so many more -- acts that puled inspiration from sources like dub, funk, free jazz, disco and so many other sources. It's going to be like walking down the halls of a modern art museum ... but over the airwaves.
