This week on the program we focus on a specific music scene. It kicked off in 1979 and hit its peak in 1981. So its lifespan was short, but in those two years, its impact was felt around the world — not only in music, but fashion. The scene I speak of is the New Romantics, a pop culture movement that developed in the London Underground and took over the mainstream for a split second. We're going to hear the acts that helped start it all, including some who are still filling stadiums today.
