The Time Machine makes a stop in 1966 this time. The Rolling Stones were just beginning to write their own songs and had a big string of hits. The Beatles perform their final official concert at Candlestick Park and also released the Revolver album, while their American rivals the Beach Boys made an album for the ages called Pet Sounds. The Supremes continued to be on a roll, releasing their seventh No. 1 single in a row. Nancy Sinatra had her biggest hit. Bonanza was the top show on TV, and the eight-track player was a newfangled option from the Ford Motor Company. It's all 1966, our year on this episode of Time Machine Tuesday.
