The Time Machine bops back to 1964 this time; you probably bought your first 45 from those lovable moptops, the Beatles, because it was a British Invasion. There were also bands like The Rolling Stones and the Kinks emerging. Meanwhile, in the States, it was the best year yet for Motown with hits from the Four Tops and the Supremes. Buck Owens put the Bakersfield Sound on the map. Elvis Presley was acting and singing and Viva Las Vegas, and Bob Dylan dropped the big one: "The Times They Are A-Changin'."
Meanwhile, Lyndon Johnson defeated Barry Goldwater in a landslide. Jeopardy! first aired with its original host, Art Fleming, and Bonanza was the top show on TV.
It's all 1964, our year on this episode of Time Machine Tuesday.
