I saw that the Walkmen, one of my favorite bands of the early 2000s, are coming to play First Avenue on Monday, September 18. And that reminded me how many great bands came out that decade to help save rock and roll from all the nu metal that had been taking over. Artists like the Walkmen, the Strokes, Interpol, The White Stripes, the Hives and loads of others. That's exactly what we're going to be celebrating this week on the program.
