The Time Machine steps back to 1980 this time. The year John Lennon was gunned down in New York City. Bruce Springsteen released his only two albums set The River, which became his first #1 album. U2 dropped their debut. The Clash upped the ante unleashing the three-album set Sandinista! Meanwhile In the States there were big albums from Talking Heads and The B-52’s. Stevie Wonder rolled into the 80’s with the reggae influenced Hotter Than July album. Speaking of Reggae Bob Marley issued his final album. He died of cancer the following year.  It’s all 1980, our year on Time Machine from the Current.
