This week on Transmission, I'm focusing on music side projects of the 1980s, and when you look back at the members of some of these bands, like the Power Station, Electronic, and Tin Machine, some might not even say "side projects"; they might say super groups. Any way you want to call them, they're being spotlighted this Thursday night and bringing some unbelievably rad music with them.
'The Best Of The Power Station' is a compilation album by The Power Station, released on July 24, 2003. The Power Station were a supergroup composed of singer Robert Palmer, Duran Duran bassist John Taylor and guitarist Andy Taylor, and former Chic drummer Tony Thompson.

Electronic were an English alternative dance supergroup formed by singer/guitarist Bernard Sumner of New Order and guitarist Johnny Marr of the Smiths. Their self-titled album was released in 1991, and it features portraits of Marr (L) and Sumner on the cover.
