The Gophers won and there was a riot. Then they lost...and there was a riot.

Every Monday at 8:30am StarTribune sports writer Michael Rand stops into the Morning Show to share the latest news in Sports.

Today Michael Rand chatted with The Morning Show's Jill Riley and Steve Seel about:

1) The Gophers lost in the NCAA men's hockey title game on Saturday, and students (kind of) rioted in dinkytown. Lots of ground to cover there.

2) The Wild's regular season is over and they will face Colorado in the playoffs starting Thursday. What are the odds they win? Not great, but who cares: playoff hockey is awesome!

3) Corey Brewer scored 51 points for the Timberwolves the other night in what might be the oddest individual effort I can remember in a long, long time.
