"You have to come here as a pilgrimage if you're anywhere near a Prince fan," says Sebastien Grainger of Death from Above 1979. Is Grainger a Prince fan? "Absolutely."

Grainger and his comrade-in-rock, Jesse F. Keeler, are in town to play at First Avenue tonight. They stopped by The Current's studio to chat with Mary Lucia ahead of their show.

Death from Above 1979 called it quits in 2006. "It's a very foreign, odd life," Keeler says about being in a band. It's what caused the breakup, but being able to observe the band's work from a distance is also what brought DFA 1979 back together.

Now they're older, wiser and ready to have fun making music again. Listen to the complete interview above.
