If you don't recognize Brian Stack's name right away, you'd probably recognize his face if you'd watched any of Conan O'Brien's late-night shows over the past 18 years, where Stack created such memorable characters as The Interrupter, Ghost Crooner Artie Kendall and Wikibear.

Starting Sept. 8, 2015, you'll see more of Brian Stack — only this time, on CBS's The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. "Even though it was hard to leave Conan, the chance to work with Stephen is very exciting," Stack says. "Colbert was always one of my heroes in the Chicago improv scene."

In addition to writing and performing for late-night comedy, Brian Stack is a huge music fan, and he recorded a special Theft of the Dial with us. Listen as Stack shares stories of music and comedy — and the places where his career has allowed for the two to intersect in fun and memorable ways.
