There aren't many local bands with such a rich history as Babes in Toyland. Key to the band's early history was Michelle Leon: the band's first bassist, Leon played with Babes from their rise out of the '80s underground until she parted ways with the band in 1992.

In her new memoir I Live Inside, Leon shares the story of her rock and roll life — an essential chapter in Minnesota music history. Watch for a full review by Andrea Swensson coming soon, and enter below for a chance to win a copy of the book.

Leon will be at the Electric Fetus in Minneapolis on Wednesday at 7 p.m. for a book release and signing event.
