Childish Gambino again holds a clear lead at the top for the sixth week. The video which is the backbone of the song's success was made in part by Sherrie Silver a young Rwandan choreographer and the BBC has told her story.
Janelle Monae is still at #2 and hit The State Theater last night.
Local heroes Trampled By Turtles climb back to three and journey back to their roots at Duluth's Bayfront festival Park this Saturday with Charlie Parr and Bad Bad Hats.
Leon Bridges is the biggest upward mover this week, 9 places to #4. He's recently been collaborating with a young country singer from North Carolina, Luke Combs.
Album of the Week artist Florence + The Machine is the highest new entry at #8, reviewed by Jade as being like a teenage diary reading, "exhausting, euphoric, and cathartic."
Neko Case has been inducted for, surprisingly, the first time, as we've followed her career through New Pornographers and various collaborations. This might be her most successful solo to date. Greta Van Fleet are still being derided by some of our listeners as blatant rip offs of Led Zeppelin. The band are starting to get irritated by all these references, as that had not meant to sound like that. Some of you would've seen them last night at The Armory, they also played Summerfest.
Lykke Li is the other new entry, at #20. She has been inducted before almost exactly 7 years ago! So the Swedish performer might be new to a lot of listeners, but she seems as at home in the Parisian fashion scene as she will be playing Lollapalooza next month. Recently she stressed the benefits of the sun, which will be much debated in these parts this week. Hope you didn't get too sun baked and had a... Happy 4th!!
