Probably best known for his work as frontman of Radiohead, Thom Yorke has also released solo work and has worked in the collaborative project Atoms for Peace, a supergroup comprising Yorke and members of Red Hot Chili Peppers and R.E.M., among others.

Although Yorke had received previous commissions for other types original music, in 2018, Yorke broke new creative ground by writing the soundrack for a feature film, Suspiria, from director Luca Guadagnino. On Oct. 26 of this year, that soundtrack was released as its own album, available on XL Recordings.

Showcasing some of the music from that soundtrack album, Thom Yorke sat down for an interview and solo performance recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York City on Nov. 19. The session features four songs — three from Yorke's original soundtrack for the film — and a rare in-depth discussion of the creative processes involved in Suspiria and beyond.

We're delighted to share this fascinating studio session with you on The Current.
