Founded in Athens, Ohio, by childhood pals Taylor Meier and Evan Westfall, the band Caamp have always approached music their own way, and it's been paying off with a new album and a national tour playing to largely sold-out venues.

Touring in support of their album, By and By, Caamp were in town to play a sold-out show at First Avenue in Minneapolis when they stopped at The Current for a session hosted by Mac Wilson. Between songs, Meier and Westfall talk about how they've taken some pointers from friends Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and how they've been influenced by artists including Tom Petty and Ray LaMontagne.
