Beginning Sunday, July 12, The Current will implement updates to its Sunday on-air schedule. These changes will feature an expanded presence of local Minnesota music on The Current's airwaves as part of Sunday evening programming.

Updates to The Current's Sunday on-air programming schedule include:

■ The Duluth Local Show, hosted by The Current's Brittany Lind, will expand its Duluth on-air presence to now reach audiences statewide. The Duluth Local Show will air Sundays, 8 to 9 p.m. Central Time, across Minnesota, featuring northland local artists. This follows two hours of local Minnesota music hosted by Andrea Swensson in The Local Show, which runs 6 to 8 p.m.

■ King's Speech, hosted by Dave King, will bid farewell to listeners on July 12 with a special two-hour episode, airing at 9 p.m.

■ Due to recently announced changes in production and a cancelation, The Current will no longer air WBEZ's Sound Opinions and American Public Media's Live from Here, which previously aired Sunday evenings. The 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. window previously held by Live From Here and King's Speech will be replaced with regular programming. Sound Opinions continues to be available as a podcast.

■ PRX's American Routes, hosted by Nick Spitzer, will no longer air Sunday mornings, 6 to 8 a.m., and will be replaced with regular programming. American Routes will continue to be available for listening on The Current's Radio Heartland stream Tuesdays 7-9 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

These schedule changes as well as program information can be found on right here at thecurrent.org. The updates are reflected on The Current's online weekly program schedule.
