Coffee Break: songs with crunchy guitars

March 7 is National Cereal Day. It's a day that commemorates the 1860s invention of the popular breakfast food that offered a welcome alternative to the 19th-century diet, which at that time consisted of heavy portions of meat and beer, even for breakfast. Today, many people start their day with juice, toast and a delicious bowl of their favorite cereal in milk.
Thinking about cereal that stays crispy and crunchy in milk turns our thoughts to crunchy guitars — that is, those riffs or rhythm patterns featuring just the right touch of guitar distortion to give the sound a bit of grit and gusto. From the Rolling Stones to Matthew Sweet to the Black Keys, there are so many great songs in rock and roll and indie rock that have that slightly aggressive overdrive that quickens your pulse and lifts your spirits. Just like a good high-fiber cereal, a crunchy guitar riff will get you moving.
So for today's 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs featuring crunchy guitars do you want to hear?
