Yesterday, the first image from NASA’s $10 billion James Webb Space Telescope was unveiled. The image depicts only one little speck of the universe and the deepest look of the cosmos ever captured. It’s filled with hundreds of streaks, spirals, and swirls of white, yellow, orange, and red. Today, NASA will be releasing four more deep field images of nebula, tightly clustered galaxies, and a giant gaseous planet outside our solar system. The vast universe has intrigued people for centuries. Thanks to scientists and the study of astronomy, we are understanding it better each day.
