Coffee Break: Super Bowl Halftime performers

Over the weekend, it was announced that Rihanna will headline the next Super Bowl Halftime Show. The news about Rihanna headlining the festivities comes on the heels of last Friday’s news that the new sponsor for the NFL’s marquee event will be Apple Music, which replaces Pepsi after a 10-year sponsorship run by the soft-drinks giant.
The Super Bowl won’t happen until February 12, when it takes place at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, but all this news about the Super Bowl has got us thinking about previous Super Bowl Halftime performers, who have included Prince, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruce Springsteen, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Coldplay and — when the Super Bowl was held in Minneapolis — Justin Timberlake. This past year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar, and that performance even won an Emmy.
With all this Super Bowl Halftime Show talk going on, let’s celebrate it with music. For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs do you want to hear by artists who have performed at the Super Bowl Halftime Show?
