Starting this Sunday, April 30, and continuing through Sunday, May 7, the Homegrown Music Festival will take place in Duluth, Minnesota. This year marks the 25th year of the Homegrown Music Festival, and it will feature 175 acts performing in Duluth as well as in Duluth’s sister port city, Superior, Wis., at more than 30 stages across the eight days of the festival.

Homegrown Music Festival not only features musicians from Duluth, but also from throughout the north country of Minnesota, showcasing the diverse musicians of that region, and the diverse styles of music they make.

Given that today also happens to be Minnesota Music Day, this seems a perfect time to celebrate musicians from the North Country. So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs by musicians from northern Minnesota do you want to hear?
