The inaugural TC Summer Fest brings the music festival atmosphere back to Target Field this summer. The home of the Minnesota Twins near downtown Minneapolis has hosted a few big concerts each summer, and on Monday announced nine artists for a two-day event this July.

On Friday, July 14, The Killers will lead a lineup heavy on alternative rock. It’s the Las Vegas band’s first Twin Cities appearance since a show at Xcel Energy Center in the fall of 2022. Joining the Friday bill are indie rock stalwarts Death Cab for Cutie, the psychedelic sounds of the Flaming Lips, and recent synth-rock sensations Cannons. Another act is TBA.

For Saturday, the headliner is the chart-topping pop-rock juggernauts Imagine Dragons, who also hail from Las Vegas. More pop-friendly fare follows with AJR, and a trio of singer-songwriters Chelsea Cutler, Em Beihold and TALK.

According to Star Tribune, the Twins worked on TC Summer Fest with Mankato promoter Jerry Braam, who brought the Twin Cities Summer Jam to Shakopee’s Canterbury Park in years past.

Target Field has hosted Paul McCartney, Weezer, Green Day, Billy Joel, and many country concerts over the years. In the early 2010s, two runnings of the Skyline Music Festival brought out artists including Andrew Bird, Soul Asylum, Thao & the Get Down Stay Down, the Honeydogs, the Gear Daddies, and more. Pop star Pink will perform at Target Field on August 10 with Grouplove and Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo.
