Yves Tumor is one of the most energizing rising talents — from their early work in avant-garde electro beats to some of the catchiest alt-rock of the year on their new album, Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds).

Reminiscent of TV on The Radio’s mid-aught sounds, this is an album that gets introspective while it rocks out. Propulsive drums and misty guitar strumming that swells and pushes then pulls back to let the beat drop.

Every song feels like a mini-adventure and gives more credence to the superstar praise heaped onto Praise a Lord Who Chews but Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds).
