Janelle Monae is having a ‘Stella Got Her Groove Back’ kind of moment on her new album, The Age of Pleasure. 

The artist, who’s previously created their own world in a trilogy of albums about their journey as an android trying to figure out this place they called home, seems firmly in the here and now – but with that same curiosity to explore.
