Cigarettes After Sex put on an ethereal sold-out show at the Armory on Thursday night, filling the venue with not only a supportive crowd, but with their chilling vocals and trance-inducing instrumentals.

in between each of their songs, the band received a wave of screams from their fans. The crowd got especially riled up when they began to play their most popular tracks like “K.,” “Cry,” and “Apocalypse.”

The performance had a dark and brooding atmosphere, which matched the band well. The entire venue was shrouded in darkness, leaving only dim spotlights accompanied by smoke machines to encourage audiences to really focus on the band. Later in the show, visuals of thunderstorms, burning fire, and the night sky played behind the group, truly curating an otherworldly experience.
