Sept. 24, 1991, is a day remembered as one of the greatest album release days in music history. With classic releases like Nirvana’s Nevermind, A Tribe Called Quest’s The Low End Theory, and The Red Hot Chili Pepper’s Blood Sugar Sex Magik — plus so many more — it must have been a busy day at record stores

Even though Sept. 24 fell on a Sunday this year, we are still going to recognize why it's an important day in music history, Gen X musical holiday, or whatever you want to call it. Let’s celebrate a day noted for its range of musical output and overall number of influential and impactful albums.
