Oct. 11 is marked as National Coming Out Day, a holiday that celebrates and promotes a safe world for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ+) individuals and their allies to live their lives truthfully and openly.

National Coming Out Day was created in 1988 in Los Angeles, by two people who envisioned a world where LGBTQ+ people could express themselves candidly and that honest and genuine relationships would rise above prejudice.

Let’s compile a meaningful playlist together. Share some songs that capture the emotion and feelings of coming out — or, showcase the talents of LGBTQ+ artists.

For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, which songs about coming out and/or that feature LGBTQ+ artists do you want to hear?
