This week’s Album of the Week is The Gaslight Anthem’s History Books.

The Gaslight Anthem mark their return with History Books, their first album in 9 years.The New Jersey natives are known for their melodic punk and often compared to Bruce Springsteen, who is featured on their title track.

History Books explores themes from mortality to mental illness with cutting lyrics over pounding rhythms, blistering riffs, and lush piano melodies.And somehow manage to turn every song into a sing-along.
