A dutiful listener suggested this topic: We’re going to a mythical place today filled with make-believe and fantastical creatures. Fairy tales, legends, fables, and anything else in that realm should be your inspiration.

To put a finer point on it, think about the characters from these tales who you won’t bump into at Cub Foods — even at 1 a.m. Unicorns, mermaids, dragons, pixies, giants, elves, wizards, banshees, and more have inspired band names, album titles, and songs. This won’t be a neverending Coffee Break, but we’ll fit in as many as possible.

For today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, which songs by bands named after mythical creatures — or songs about such creatures — do you want to hear?
