Favorite In-studios:
The New Pornographers and Killer Mike. Seeing my old NYU buddy Adam Schatz of Landlady playing sax for the New Po's was a nice surprise, and Killer Mike and I had a great moment bonding over our shared appreciation for 80s southern wrestler "Wildfire" Tommy Rich.
Also, I think 2023 has been a great year of album TITLES so here's my 5 favorite album names of the year:
Mitski - This Land is Inhospitable and So Are We
The Hold Steady - The Price of Progress
Olivia Rodrigo - Guts
Armand Hammer - We Buy Diabetic Test Strips
The Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds
