Break out your new socks and white tennis shoes because Father’s Day is right around the corner. The holiday falls on the third Sunday in June, which just happens to be this Sunday! What might seem like a natural celebration now took over 60 years to be officially recognized. Washington resident Sonora Smart Dodd started her quest for a day to celebrate fathers in 1909, but it wasn’t until 1972 that Richard Nixon signed legislation to recognize the national holiday.

Our relationships can sometimes range from complicated to hilarious, but let’s celebrate our father figures — and everything that comes with them — a little bit early with music.

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs relating to dads and fathers would you like to hear?
