We’re getting wild in today’s coffee break! Wild About Wildlife Month was established in 1984 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare. We celebrate each July to highlight the different kinds of wildlife across the globe and to encourage each other to do our part in conservation efforts.

One way to honor the month is to learn about our animal friends. Here are some fun facts now, courtesy of National Geographic Kids:

  • Elephants can spend up to 18 hours each day dining on grass, plants, and fruit.

  • A rabbit’s teeth never stop growing! Instead they are worn down as the rabbit chews so they don't get too long.

  • Reindeer spend up to 40% of their lives in the snow… and they’re really good swimmers, too!

Let’s get in on the fun and get Wild About Wildlife with music!

So for today’s 9:30 Coffee Break, what songs relating to animals or that have an animal in the title would you like to hear?
