It’s hard to believe that albums like Green Day’s American Idiot and Good News For People Who Love Bad News by Modest Mouse came out 20 years ago. Maybe you were busy changing the html on your Myspace profile while listening to those albums, or perhaps you were jamming out on your new iPod Mini.

Today we’re going to go back to the year that gave us the end of the sitcom Friends, the movies Mean Girls and Napoleon Dynamite, the very first version of Gmail, and a lot of great music.
