On Friday, April 4, The Suburbs performed at First Avenue's 55th Anniversary Celebration with surf-psyche-punk band Black Widows. Over the course of the evening, vocalist and keyboardist Chan Poling paid tribute to community members Paul Lundgren, Paul Engebretson, Slim Dunlap, the band’s pal Kurt Nelson, and original Suburbs members Beej Chaney and Bruce Allen.
