On this USofA I featured brand new music from Shelby Lynne, rising Americana star Kaitlin Butts, and new local sounds from Humbird. Plus, I’ featured a bunch of artists who will be performing in the week to come.  Artists like The Jayhawks, John Moreland, Robert Plant and Allison Krauss! I also included a portion of an interview with Lucinda Williams from 2023 on the show! She performs at the Hilde Performance Center in Plymouth on Saturday.  

On this United States of Americana I’ll feature a couple of tunes from the new album from The Avett Brothers, plus I’ll feature a pair of tunes from Sturgill Simpson’s Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, which just celebrated its 10 Anniversary! I also have a bunch of new music from artists like Steve Earle from a new Tom Petty Tribute album,  Kiely Connell, Greensky Bluegrass & The Black Crowes featuring Lainey Wilson. We will also remember folk and blues legend Spider John Koerner, who passed away early Saturday morning.

On this episode I’ll feature a handful of songs for Mother’s Day! Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! I will also feature new music from artists like Wyatt Flores, American Aquarium & Dolly Parton with a Tom Petty cover. Join me for another United States of Americana on The Current. 

On this United States of Americana, I’ll feature a song from the just released albums from Kelsey Waldon, Charley Crockett & Adeem the Artist. I also have new songs from Carsie Blanton and The Secret Sisters, who will be in the Twin Cities in a few weeks! I have a few songs for Cinco De Mayo! Also, we’ll remember The King of Twang, Duane Eddy, who passed away on April 30th of cancer at age 86.

On this USofA I’ll feature a good dose of new music including new songs from Pernice Brothers, Richard Thompson,  Kara Jackson,  The Damnwells featuring Morgan Wade & some lost tapes from Johnny Cash were discovered by his son. I’ll play one of those songs! Willie Nelson turns 91 on Monday, so we’ll hear a couple of Willie tunes. Plus, It’s a good week for shows and I‘ll play some the artists coming to town!

It’s an all local United States of Americana to celebrate Minnesota Music Month!  

On today’s United States of Americana I featured tons of new music. We’ll discover tracks from Charlie Parr,  Katie Pruitt, The Mavericks, Heather Little & Alejandro Escovedo. There has also Been a handful of big shows were just announced in the last few days. We’ll talk about and hear some of those artists. We’ll remember both Merle Haggard and John Prine. This weekend marks the anniversary of both of these legends. It’s all on this United States of Americana!

We celebrate the final weekend of Women’s History Month with lots of new music from women on this Sunday’s United States of Americana.

On this weeks United States of Americana I’ll feature a couple of new songs from both Waxahatchee & Kacey Musgraves new albums. I have a song from Willie Nelson’s new album, which drops a couple weeks after his 91st birthday!  I also have a new blues tune from Cedric Burnside, another tune from Adrianne Lenker’s upcoming album an update of a song from the 1940’s by Jim Kweskin featuring Maria Muldaur.
